What’s wrong? EmpaNADA.
We are currently on charter buses en route to Cresta del Mar, the camp property where we will spend the next several days. I am blogging from the guys’ bus. The energy has plateaued after a rousing round of cheering in Spanish. I was called on to lead a cheer and I’m pretty sure I yelled something about a cat without a coat that fell in water.
I mentioned that we were about to head to a place where a mountain overlooked the ocean. Y’all. I was unprepared for the majesty that awaited us. It’s not every day that you find yourself on a windy mountain top in Central America with some really good friends. We were blessed. It might be cliche, but the pictures won’t be able to take you there like we experienced it. Suffice it to say that many of us couldn’t stop smiling while we were up there. Some prefer mountains to beach or the other way around. We were able to enjoy both at the same time.
We had a BLAST. I also forgot to mention that we stopped off at an empanada shop to get a little snack before our hike. So good. As you can see, our team is really enjoying our time here. God has blessed us with good health, good friends, and good food. Today marks a change I’m gears as we transition from tourists to staffers. Guests to servants. I am eager to get started so that these teenagers (12-16 year olds) can experience camp and what God wants to do in them this week.
Thank you for the fantastic comments! Our team has laughed and “awe”ed several times in reaction to your hilarious and caring thoughts from the States. We will be at the camp soon! Until tomorrow!
