Water Balloon Fight!
What a day! It feels like we have been going 100kph all day long. The kids finished up the bible study this morning and then went down the hill to play activities. This was our last day to do activity classes so we tried to pack them all in. We had an archery class.
And we also had an Exploradores class where the kids became pirates with one eye or a hook for a hand. They had to then work as a cabin to complete a task such as: find a rock that looks like your counselor, go find the chickens and tell them a bedtime story, sing your favorite song to two counselors and so on.
There was also a jungle gym class where kids swung from swings, monkied from the monkey bars, teetered on the teeter totter, and rocked on the giant 10 person swing thing.
We also had arts and crafts which is a hit for everyone. The kids get to make something with their hands and take it home, allowing them to remember camp!
We also have a sports class or deportes. Most classes play warball (dodgeball) but some play soccer or basketball.
There is also a parachute class that the kids love. Bright colors, flying things in the air, and playing with friends is loads of fun.
As the title says, we had a giant water balloon fight. The kids were split up into two teams and needed to protect their statue from getting wet while getting the other teams statue soaked! They had giant water balloons. On the count of three they charged forward launching water balloons left and right. Water flying everywhere. Some kids got the statue(Jimbo and Garret) but some kids chose to just hit each other with water balloons. Everyone got soaked and a winner was crowned, Jimbo’s team was the winner as you can see in the pictured Water Shower.
