Day 8: Recibe Todo la Gloria


Today was our last full day in Guatemala and it has been so bittersweet.  We started the morning with a devotional and then spent some time studying the bible together. We finished our activity classes and then went to the pool.  After lunch we had camper share and it was so sweet to hear campers share what they learned. Many campers rededicated their lives to Christ last night and it was so fun to celebrate!! Day 7: ¡Baile, Baile, Baile!


Can’t believe today was our last full day of camp! We definitely lived today to the fullest. We woke up to watch the sunrise and sing some worship songs together as a camp. We spent time in our bible studies and then we went to the pool! Who doesn’t love the pool? After lunch we did activity classes and then had free time. Day 6: Chillero


Today we welcomed our second round of campers! We have 60 middle and high school students and we are pumped! We welcomed them and played lots of ice breakers to get to know them. This afternoon we did activity classes, and Gaga ball is a huge hit as well as the slack line. It’s really fun to teach American camp games here in Guatemala! This afternoon we spent some time in God’s word and learning about finding treasure in heavenly things. Day 5: Do as the Locals Do


Today was our tourist day! We had so much fun. We went on a tour of a Jade Factory and got to see many Catholic Churches in the city. It was awesome to see the history of the city.  In the afternoon we hiked a little bit to see the cross over the city. It was such a good view of the city! Day 4: Adios Amigos!

Today we said good bye to our first round of campers! We had a share time and it was sweet to hear how they have grown in their faith and learned to trust the Lord. We also had several campers who came to know the Lord, praise God!  After they left we played California Kickball with the Guatemalan staff and ate dinner together.  Tomorrow we go to Antigua and see the sights of Guatemala. We’re pumped to spend the day with our national team and see their country! Here’s some pictures from the past few days!

Day 3: It’s dance time!


What a fun, full day of camp! We got to enjoy the morning with a devotional time with our cabins and pray together. After breakfast we spent some time worshipping and going through our bible study about seeking treasure in heaven.  This morning we got to go to the pool which is a pretty big deal here in Guatemala. Day 2: Campers are Here!

We woke up this morning to the most beautiful surprise. When we got to camp last night it was dark, so we’re weren’t able to see the camp until this morning. Turns out we’re situated on a hillside overlooking a lake and mountains… this isn’t Texas anymore!! We met the Guatemalan staff this morning and walked through what Pine Cove is and how camp works. Day 1: Travelling


We’ve landed in Guatemala! After a long day of travelling, we’ve made it to Guatemala City safely. We enjoyed lunch at TGI Fridays and then drove an hour and a half to our campsite. We’re finishing up dinner and headed to bed- campers are coming in just a few short hours!! We’re thanking the Lord for his answered prayers and keeping us safe while travelling. Be praying for unity tomorrow as we meet the national team and begin to form friendships. We’re excited to jump in tomorrow!

Crier Creek: Meet the Team


We can’t believe that in less than 24 hours we will be in Guatemala. We want to take a second to introduce our team!! Our fearless leaders are Tanner Coleman, Crier Creek Men’s Director and Catherine Taylor, Crier Creek Women’s Director. Catherine was a Spanish major and Tanner got a Central American bird book for Christmas, so they are an unstoppable duo.  Joining them are 15 staffers. Let’s meet them!!
