Fiesta!

Ain’t no party like a Pine Cove party cause a Pine Cove party don’t stop!! Man how I’d love to have y’all here to experience how great of a party Costa Rica can have. It’s day 2 or 3 with our older set of campers and lets talk about how awesome our God is to allow us to worship so freely without the worry of language being an issue! Although today was full of rain that didn’t stop us from having a great day at camp!  We rejoice and find peace in our brokenness as Costa Rica shows us a […]

Session 1 Success

Our first session of camp officially ended today. For the past few days, we’ve had a younger set of campers from the ages of about 7-12 years old. They are truly one of a kind. The people and culture of Costa Rica are so special! For me personally, the Lord has given me such an incredible, new, and life-giving perspective on His heart for people and His desire to reconcile the world to Himself. What a privilege and honor it is that God is graciously using 17 broken individuals to be the hands and feet of Jesus and fulfilling His […]

The Fun Continues

Well, the last full day of our first session is finished. The views and the coffee keep getting better each day. We started out the day anxious to see what the Lord was going to do. While we knew little of what to expect, He didn’t let us down. It was another reminder to our staff that He is before all things and in Him all things hold together. He is bigger than language barriers and mispronounced words. We continued to seek the Lord for discernment, wisdom, joy, and energy. Just like God fulfilled His promise of manna to the […]

DIA UNO

Day one camp is finished! Today marks a day of flexibility and plenty of communication stumbles, but nonetheless a day full of joy and seeing the Lord’s faithfulness. We started the day by prepping ourselves with pancakes and incredible Costa Rican coffee. Really, the coffee is all it’s hyped up to be.  With little knowledge of what to expect from the day, we embraced the unknowns through the confidence we are able to have in our God. That’s not to say the fear didn’t creep in, because it was tempting. But there is no fear in love. And our God […]

We have arrived

We’re here, we made it, and that’s awesome! As we journed from Dallas to Miami  and finally made it to Cosita Rica. We were warmly welcomed by our contact Sebastian and several other staff memebers of the camp in Cosita Rica. We soon found out that the place that we had landed was very different from the U.S. The city was booming and the people spoke a completely different langague then we did. A lot of us were blown away by the beauty of the city and the mountains that we saw in the distance. Once we sat down with […]

After months of waiting, soon we’ll be meeting our friends in Costa Rica who will co-run 2 sessions of camp with us. We can’t wait to meet our new pals and welcome campers in only a couple days. Stay tuned here each day for updates of what’s happening and how you can be praying for the trip.  For now, pray for safe travel/arrival […]
