Second day of camp!

Posted Jan 6, 2017

Our second day of camp is off to a great start. The campers have been enjoying Bible study, fun games and dances, and lots of soccer! They seem to never get tired, but are running on endless amounts of energy.

It’s been incredible to watch our counselors love their campers so well. They are eager to serve and love these kids despite not being able to communicate many words. The kids love our attempts at speaking their language, but if only they would talk slower. Haha! We’re all learning a little bit more Spanish each day and we’re all hoping someday we can be fluent.

The weather has been warm here and we’ve all be soaking in the sun and drinking lots and lots of water! We’re grateful for all the love and support back home, and we will post more soon!

  1. Looks BEAUTIFUL there! (Especially considering its freezing here…)
    Those kids are having the time of their lives!! What a gift that they can be at camp and learning about what Jesus has done for THEM! And what an honor we have as believers to share that Good News with them. Praying y’all have extra doses of energy as well ?

  2. We’re praying for you- but one at a time- and in English! Remember Is. 55:11,12
    “For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven
    and do not return there but water the earth,
    making it bring forth and sprout,
    giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater,
    so shall My Word be that goes out from My mouth;
    it shall not return to Me empty,
    but it SHALL ACCOMPLISH that which I purpose,
    and SHALL SUCCEED in the thing for which I sent it.”

    Many blessings and love to all.

  4. We continue to pray for your team each day! It is great to read these updates and to see God’s hand of blessing already. Please keep sending pictures! It’s great to see what we’re praying for. May the Lord bless you all as you serve him with passion.
