New Year, Old Friends
Well it’s a new year and what better way to spend it than in another country with camp friends!!! In a few hours, we will be waking up and making our way to the Dominican Republic for our 3rd year and we cannot wait to get there. But before we get to far, there are some people we want you to meet. Without further ado, it’s time to introduce you to the 2017 Outback Team!
My name is Aaron “French Fly” Hastings and I go to Lonestar College! I love to fly airplanes and play soccer!
My name is Davis “Bullet” Bragg. I go to the University of Alabama. I love to hunt and enjoy the outdoors!
My name is Chase “Crocs” Walters and I’m a junior attending Auburn University (War Eagle) with a major in Supply Chain Management. This will be my first time on a foreign mission trip and on a plane! I’m excited to see the Lord work no matter the language barrier throughout this next week!
My name is Ben “Cookies” Richey and I go to Auburn University studying Exercise Science. This will be my first time in Latin America and I am extremely excited to see how the Lord will change lives and overcome language barriers in our time here.
My name is Zach “SedSo” Dearmin and I am a senior at the University of Tennessee studying Geology. I am excited to be taking my second trip to the Dominican Republic with Commission Camping!
My name is Allie “Frilly” Richardson. I’m studying Political Science at Texas Christian University (go Frogs!). I love cats and Texas shaped waffles and am so excited to experience the Lord in such a new and unique way!
My name is Cayla “Grams” Dillard. I go to Auburn University and my major is Math Education. I love the moon, the smell of fresh cut grass, and any type of sporting activity. I am super pumped and humbled to be a part of Commission Camping and am so excited to see what Jesus is going to do!!
My name is Morgan “Dulce” Jemison and I am a nursing student at Auburn University with a minor in Spanish. I love any type of competition and good music. I can’t wait to be a part of all the Lord is doing in the DR.
My name is Kaitlin “Fish Outta Potter” Sotir and I go to Missouri Baptist University where I study Psychology and Ministry. I love cats and hiking. I’m so excited to be a part of Commission Camping!
My name is Megan “Mopps” Cole. I am a senior at Western Kentucky University studying Communication and Non-Profit Administration. I love holding babies and eating doughnuts, and I’m excited to see how our God is moving in the DR!
My name is Deanna “Breeanca” “Upside” Bruner. I am a senior at the University of Alabama studying Elementary Education. This is my second year going to the Dominican Republic with Commission Camping and I can’t wait to see what the Lord has in store this year!
My name is Courtney “Zorb” Jackson and I’m studying Finance at Texas A&M. I’m looking forward to seeing the way the Lord is able to break past walls and barriers to create lasting relationships regardless of different languages and cultures.
My name is Bailee “Texas” Bruce. I go to Texas A&M University and I am studying Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Sciences. This is my first mission trip to a different country and I am so excited to be apart of this experience to the Dominican Republic! I love photography, videography and I am looking forward to see how the Lord is going to work through us during this time!
Pat “Michelangelo” Preston and I (Daniel” Hide N’SYNC” Lindsey) are excited about another year leading this trip and can’t wait to see our Dominican friends. We are excited about what the Lord has in store for this year and to see Him use this team in BIG ways! Please pray for us as we travel and be on the lookout for our next post.
