The Towers is so excited to be heading back to Nicaragua this year! We will officially be arriving in Nicaragua in 4 days! Our staffers have been praying, raising support, and getting excited all fall for this trip! We are ready to see what the Lord has in store. This will be our second year back, as a Towers team, to partner with CCI staff to do CAMP in Nicaragua! We can’t wait!

Maddie “Brownie Bites” Ritchie has been working full time as the Towers Women’s Director since May 2015, and she is one of the leaders of our trip to Nicaragua. Maddie is originally from Wichita, Kansas and graduated from TCU in 2013. Maddie has attended and co-led other Commission Camping trips in the past, and is so excited to be going to Nicaragua with the Towers this year.
Anna “Prestigee” Wierman works full time as a Site Coordinator for our Institute of Wilderness Studies program at Pine Cove, and also works at the Towers during the summer. Anna will also be leading our trip to Nicaragua. Anna is originally from Rogers, Arkansas and graduated from John Brown University in 2012. This will be Anna’s third Commission Camping trip, and her second year co-leading our trip to Nicaragua. She can’t wait to go back.
Katie “Wide-Eyed” Stiles is from Denton, Texas, and is a senior at Oklahoma Baptist University, studying nursing. This will be Katie’s second Commission Camping trip.
Erik “ATP” Gustafson is from Lincoln, Nebraska, and is a senior at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, studying secondary math education. This is Erik’s first Commission Camping trip.
Daniel “L-MOH” Lang is from Dallas, Texas and is a sophomore at Texas A&M University, studying economics. This is Daniel’s first Commission Camping trip.
Austin “Conies” Savage is from Dodge City, Kansas and is a sophomore at Kansas State University, studying construction science. This is Austin’s first Commission Camping trip.
Thomas “Jelly Belly” Jacques is originally from Dallas, Texas, and is a sophomore at Abilene Christian University, studying finance and accounting. This will be Thomas’s first Commission Camping trip.
Hanna “Seals” Kluth is originally from Denver Colorado and is a sophomore at the University of Oklahoma, studying health and exercise science. This is Hanna’s first Commission Camping trip.
Jillian “T-Dance” Roberts is originally from Plano, TX and is a junior at Baylor University, studying non-profit marketing. This is Jillian’s second commission camping trip.
Blair “PBA” Holsombeck is originally from Alabaster, Alabama and is a junior at the University of Alabama, studying history. This is Blair’s second Commission Camping trip.
Ashtin “Pinprobs” James is originally from Friendswood, Texas and is a senior at Texas Tech University, studying kinesiology. This is Ashtin’s first commission camping trip.
Shirley “Sparks Fly” Araiza is originally from Post, Texas and is a senior at Texas Tech university, studying electronic media and communications. This is Shirley’s first Commission Camping trip.
Mason “Pebbles” Harper is originally from San Antonio, Texas and recently graduated from Texas State University with a degree in communication studies and psychology. This is Mason’s first Commission Camping trip.
Karl “Knightly” Cassel is originally from Wheaton, Illinois and is a junior at Wheaton College, studying interpersonal communication and biology. This is Karl’s first Commission Camping trip.
George “Caps Lock” Hornok is originally from Texarkana, Texas and is a sophomore at Dallas Baptist University, studying music business songwriting and recording. This is George’s first Commission Camping trip.
Chandler “Uno” Lotridge is originally from Dallas, Texas and is a sophomore at Texas Christian University, studying child development and social work. This is Chandler’s first Commission Camping trip.
Elizabeth “Relly” Gonzalez is originally from Marion, South Carolina and is a senior at North Greenville University, studying psychology. This is Elizabeth’s first Commission Camping trip.
We have a really fun team and we are so excited to travel to Nicaragua together! We will be meeting in Dallas on the 3rd of January, and we will fly into Managua, Nicaragua later that afternoon. Once we arrive, we will be picked up by our Nicaraguan friends, and then we will drive to Rivas, Southeast of Managua! We will be spending our week in Rivas, Nicaragua.
We would appreciate your prayers as we start our journey. Prayers for safety, unity among our team and the Nicaragua team, and for the Lord to ultimately be glorified through our time there.
