Day 2 of camp here in Nicaragua is in the books! Even though it was our second day, energy was higher and we seemed to have even more fun today with kids and staff!

To start off the day, we were all in God’s word both alone and then together, as Andrew shared with us from Ephesians 2. It was great to be reminded of the truth of the Gospel first thing in the morning! This is why we’re here!!

Throughout the day, there were many fun activities including a ginormous game of soccer that included four balls. Absolutely crazy! Lunch was a blast as the group started chanting for various counselors to dance for the group. Each counselor got to show off their dancing skills. The leader here in Nicaragua commented, “this is breaking down walls!” Well said…the fun and crazy parts of camp all serve the big purpose –to bring glory to God through changed lives!

Later on in the day, local counselors led activity classes. This was neat to see since they just learned them a couple of days ago. The campers even learned the classic game of Turkish Delight!

Our Towers counselors are working hard to communicate despite the language barriers and are learning that language blunders and funny moments will happen! As you can see from the picture, we’re truly “Apply-ing” ourselves here at camp!!

Club tonight was powerful and also included a random dance party of sorts. It was fun seeing counselors and campers not care what people think, and just act goofy…all for God’s glory!

We’re excited to see the bonds that will form and the lives that will be changed because of what God is doing in the hearts of all the people here at camp!

Prayer requests: health and safety for our staff, continued by-in to the PC philosophy of camping by the local team, deeper relationships formed, and hearts to be transformed by the Gospel. Thank you for showing us so much love through your comments and support! We’re so grateful!

All for God’s glory!
