There are very few moments that fully encompass the word incredible and last night was one of them. Campers reflecting on the week with their cabins as they traverse to the beach at dusk. Campers singing worship songs underneath a multitude of stars. Campers sitting by a campfire listening to the monstrosity of waves crashing on the shore. Campers being transformed by Jesus Christ as testimonies are given. That is what I call incredible.
Jesus moved in big ways last night. It is very difficult to ignore the beauty of our God when you are fully immersed in the nature He has created to display His wonder, and I fully believe campers began to understand that to a greater extent as Jesus continued to tear down walls.
And it doesn’t stop there. This morning we woke up a little earlier than most would prefer, but man it was so worth it. Again, we all walked down to the beach, but this time it was a little different. We were awake and on the beach before the sun even peeked over the horizon and began singing worship songs along with a devotional to start the day. While we were worshipping the King of Kings, the sun began to peer over the horizon. No better way to start your last day of camp than with a sunrise on a Panamanian beach if you ask me.
I know I speak on behalf of all the staff when I say we are far from looking forward to seeing our campers go back to their homes, however we also can trust God did some big things in their hearts this week. And last night and this morning sure proved the truth of that statement.
What a way to end this week.
