Hola friends! Me llamo Bentley “StopDrop” Maddox and the Lord is good. We have seen him work both in and through us as we’ve showed the national team how we do camp at Pine Cove! I had the blessing of leading two cabins alongside my new friends Edwin and Felix and even though I’m “here to teach”, I have learned from them. I’ve learned so much of what humility is and what that looks like in the role of a leader. It was a joy to serve.

Culture is such a cool thing that I believe displays the vast character of God. But culture differences can be hard. Quickly adjusting to a different life, language, and environment is not easy and it took a toll on me, but praise the Lord for weakness because He proves that He is unwaveringly strong. And despite my weakness, HE worked yall. He IS working. And campers be comin’ again. Tomorrow! Mañana! So to prepare, we actively rested (it makes sense). Today was a day filled with shopping, site seeing, DELICIOUS food, dancing, encouragement, the beach, laughter and so much more. The Lord made today stress-free and I can confidently say that our team is rejuvenated. I am excited for the remaining days of our trip. Encouragement has outwardly overflown from our Doninican family, both in words and actions. Seeing their passion and love for the Lord has shown how big He is.

Colossians 1:17 “And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.” We know that the Lord was here before us, he is here working now and that this is the beginning of a work that will change many lives. Bless the Lord, oh my soul. Camp. Amen.
