We’ve been on Paraguayan soil for more than 12 hours now which means campers will soon be here!
We got to our site around 7:30am from the airport and slept until lunch where we met all our national staff and did some training sessions together. We got to have a time of sharing about how God has used camp to teach us each new things both our staff and our national staff. It was so encouraging to hear the way God has built righteousness and faith in both us and our national staff through serving with CCI and Pine Cove.
We spent some time preparing camp by making decorations and putting tents together(legit camping people!).
We had a late dinner of empanadas which were delicious.
Our campers will be arriving at 10am tomorrow and we are so excited!
Please continue to pray with us that God would move in mighty ways and our energy would abound and the language barriers wouldn’t keep us from being vessels of Gods love and grace.
Things we’ve learned today:
1. Empanadas are a common meal in Paraguay but not at all in Argentina.
2. Naps are great even when you don’t know there is an air conditioner in your room.
3. River sunsets are the best!
Tune in tomorrow to hear about our first day with campers!!! Adiós!
