Guat’s up, amigos?!
Hello, family and friends! We are so glad that you will be joining us in our adventures for the next week and a half!
We will be updating our blog daily, so look forward to posts that will let you in on just a fraction of what God is and will be doing through this trip. We hope to keep you in the loop with daily camp life, as well as some of the other fun stuff that we’ll be doing.
A quick intro for me: this will be my 3rd time returning to Guatemala with Pine Cove. I’ve had the privilege of working with this Guatemalan team twice before and they are incredible people.
My wife (Lindsay) and I got married a year ago on December 29th. We literally just celebrated 1 year of marriage!! We were laughing on our anniversary about how a year ago we were in Cancun on our honeymoon, and at the same time this year, we’ll be in Guatemala on a mission trip. We’ve got a thing for Latin America in January.
We’re humbled and privileged to lead this team. Join us in praying for the people we’ll be partnering with in Guatemala, as well as for the hearts of our summer staff team. God has used these trips in unbelievable ways, pray with us that he will continue to do so.
Here’s some details of our departure flights. Compared to some of the other PC trips we’ve got a bit of a “cakewalk”, nevertheless, pray for safe travels for us and the other teams.
January 3, United 280. DFW-IAH departing at 6:25 arriving in Houston at 7:37. United 1500 departing at 9:15 and arriving in Guatemala City at 12:09.
