While we were waiting we found an awesome plant called “pico de loro”, or “parrot beak” and here’s why:

Staying with the airplane theme, we played several games, “crash landed on an island”, created dramas, and had to invent a vehicle to get off the island using cabin members. Here’s an idea of what it looked like:

Dinner was in the dark by a bonfire (as we are stranded on an island). Following dinner we stayed at the bonfire playing games and doing cheers. Then Braden gave a club talk over Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego and how they were rescued from the fire and how we too have an opportunity to be rescued. Campers have already told their counselors that hearing this story and the gospel was one of their favorite parts of the day!

We debriefed with the Pine Cove staff tonight. Everyone is doing well and have been full of energy and excitement despite the language barrier. We are continuing to grow in unity with the CCI staff and they are doing a great job of running camp!
