We are so excited to journey to the DR together!

Now that you’ve met the team, we want to let you know that we will be updating you about the trip throughout the week here on this blog. We will do our best to post daily with pics, stories, and other updates (depending on internet capabilities). Also you can follow @pinecovestaff on Instagram to get updates from Pine Cove teams across Latin America.

We will all be meeting in Dallas on Saturday, January 2nd at Trinity Bible Church & School for our Commission Camping Orientation meeting. There we will learn more about key details for the trip, and the team will be trained and equipped to head out to the DR. Our flight leaves at 7:15AM on Sunday morning, January 3rd, and we will arrive in the DR at 3:3oPM. From there we will have an orientation and training with the national staff and prepare to start camp on January 4th!

I know I speak for everyone when we say we are grateful for your prayers and support as we head out! We know you will be praying for us as we are away and we are so thankful! There are many prayer requests (some even on the blog here) to keep in mind throughout our time away. The ones at the top of the list right now would be for the logistics of traveling and that it would be safe and fun! We know crazy things can happen in airports, and we have no control over when flights get delayed. Please pray that our airport, plane, and bus travels run smoothly.

Also, we will continually ask that you pray for our own hearts and minds as we set to head out! We ask for humility and servant hearts as we go, and ask that the Lord would look on this trip with great favor.

Hasta Luego!
