Wow what a day it has been! It now feels as if we have been here for many days. We are all quite tired but we remember, No se trata de mí, (it’s not about me).
All of the counselors are giving it their all. There is definitely a language barrier between the kids, national staff, and Pine Cove counselors, but it is amazing to see how much they interact with the kids. A great picture of that is bible study. The bible study is about putting God first in your life.

We were blessed to do many things today including bible study, group games, CLUB (worship with a sermon), dinner, a night game called Lights, Sounds, and Signs. Here are some pictures from day one!

Today was Marianna’s birthday and her dad brought her a cake at dinner. After singing Feliz Cumpleaños to her, apparently it is a El Salvadorian tradition to dunk the birthday person’s face into the cake. And that is what happened to Marianna! Happy birthday Marianna!
