Day 6: We are tourists.
We are currently enjoying our final day here in Panama. Last night was spent sending our campers off after a really neat time of camper share – we had many say how they felt “reconciled” to The Lord after this week and how impactful their week was. It was such an blessing to hear how God had moved this week!
We all piled on our bus that afternoon exhausted after going full speed this week. We were thankful for showers and a good dinner last night before we were invited to a special church service at Antonio’s church. We realized when we got there that the service was entirely as a thank you to us. We were brought on stage and given gifts in memory of Panama and many spoke of how how blessed they had been by our visit. Humbling doesn’t even describe it. We were also given an opportunity to share to the church about our week – we were able to tell the congregation how blessed we were by them and how we were thankful to partner alongside them for the sake of the gospel.
Today, we are enjoying a day of rest and tourism! We visited the Panama Canal this morning, incredible doesn’t even describe it. We then visited a local market where we were able to buy souvenirs and such. We don’t know what’s in store for the rest of the day but we’re enjoying the ride!
Our flight tomorrow leaves at 6:30am so we will be making our way to the airport very early – we’ll keep you posted!
