The campers have only been here less than 24 hours but we have already done so much! We had bible study, gave out the Spirit Stick, had activity classes, swam in the pool, ate dinner, had worship by a fire, and the day is not even over!

Activity classes were a blast today. It was a great way to get the kids moving and interacting with others. A big hit was soccer for the guys and most played.

We also got to teach some of the campers how to shoot bows and arrows. There were some really good shots for it being their first time!

While the guys played soccer, the girls got to do arts and crafts.

Some people chose to get into the pool. If we are being honest, the water hace frio or is cold! But we toughed it out and had fun with the campers. You can see how Logan didn’t want to put his hands in the water in this picture.

After eating dinner, we were introduced to 3 ninjas that are trying to become master ninjas. But they need help from their sensei. All of the skit characters are local staff and have made it quite funny for the campers. We can’t wait to see what they do tomorrow!

Then we went outside of the dining hall and beside a campfire where we were led in worship by Erick, Rafa, and CJ. It was fantastic to be out in God’s creation praising His name.

Later tonight we will be playing the night game called Lights and Sounds. This game is where the campers will go around camp looking for the 3 colored lights and 3 different sounds. And if they find one, they get a check. And the first cabin to find all 6 will win! The only twist is that the people with the lights and sounds will be moving all over camp to male it harder. It will be fun!

Until tomorrow,
