Crier Creek: Meet the Team
We can’t believe that in less than 24 hours we will be in Guatemala. We want to take a second to introduce our team!!
Our fearless leaders are Tanner Coleman, Crier Creek Men’s Director and Catherine Taylor, Crier Creek Women’s Director. Catherine was a Spanish major and Tanner got a Central American bird book for Christmas, so they are an unstoppable duo.
Emmie “Slumbz” Acuff is a Communications major at Auburn University. She is a junior. Her favorite Spanish phrase is “Feliz Navidad” which means Merry Christmas. She prefers pop tarts over cereal and has a 6 month old brother.
Tiffany “Shugs” White is a Junior at Louisiana State University. She is studying English. Her favorite spanish word is “siesta” which means nap. Fun fact about Tiffany, she is very afraid of balloons.
Elise “Blondie” Emmons is a Kinesiology major at the University of Texas at San Antonio. She is a junior. Her favorite Spanish word is “siempre” which means always. Fun fact about Elise, she has a double ankle on both feet.
Kendall “Bips” Hughes is a Senior at the University of Texas at Austin. She is a History major. Her favorite cereal is Special K and fun fact about Kendall, she loves when people ask where her right lateral incisor is.
Leah “Smax” Crum is a Junior at Purdue University. She is a early childhood education major. Her favorite Spanish word is “mono” which means monkey! Fun fact about Leah, she’s been swimming in a volcano in El Salvador.
Erin “Belle” Buergner is studying Middle School Math Education at Howard Payne University. She is a junior. Fun fact about Erin, she is learning to play the ukulele and her favorite cereal is Cinnamon Toast Crunch.
Olivia “Twinside” Winkel is a Junior at the University of Texas at Austin. She is a Public Relations major. Her favorite cereal is Captain Crunch and her favorite quote is “I’m not superstitious, but I am a little stitious.” -Michael Scott.
Lauren “Locks” Clifton is an English major at Texas A&M University. She is a sophomore. Her favorite Spanish word is “vivir” which means to live. Fun fact about Lauren, she once had a duck named Tootsie.
Brian “Bro” Bell is a Senior at Colorado Christian University. His major is Computer Information Systems. His favorite cereal is Cinnamon Toast Crunch and his favorite Spanish word is “caballo” which means horse! Fun fact, Brian can cook minute rice in 57 seconds.
Kyle “EK” Meissner is a Biomedical Engineering major at Texas A&M University. He is a Senior and is going to medical school next year. His favorite cereal is Reese’s Puffs.
Justin is a Junior at Texas A&M University! He is majoring in Accounting and his favorite cereal is Lucky Charms. Fun fact, Justin has been to 5 countries, we’re about to make it 6.
Tyler serves on Full Time staff as the IWS Site Director here in Central Texas. He graduated from East Texas Baptist University before joining the full time team. His favorite cereal(s) are Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Fruity Pebbles.
